Exodus 18:13-27 13 The next day Moses took his seat to serve as judge for the people, and they stood around him from morning till evening. 14 When his father-in-law saw all that Moses was doing for the people, he said, “What is this you are doing for the people? Two kinds of popularity

For much of his life, John Calvin had two close friends -- Farel and Viret. Farel was very hot-headed and out-spoken, while Viret was of very mild temperament, an instinctive peace-keeper. Farel often came to Geneva and stayed at Calvin's home, where, sometimes with Viret, the friends would have long talks about theology and current events over a glass. Calvin delighted in the company of his zealous friend. Nevertheless, as time went on he came to see that Farel's inflexible nature made him a doughty defender but a limited propagator of the gospel. He often sent his own discourses and letters to Viret, whose job was to moderate his language. Calvin himself had been more hot-headed as a young man, and he worked to curb his own tongue. Untuk melihat perbandingan, silahkan saudara mendownload dari link berikut: http://itgritas.com/shared/BEDA KS ILT DG ALKITAB LAI.doc Keterangan: Ada bagian2 ayat yg tidak penulis kutip dengan lengkap, jadi mohon perhatikan dalam Alkitab/software Alkitab saudara untuk ayat selengkapnya. Beberapa perbedaan di atas adalah masalah perbedaan terjemahan kata. Namun banyak juga perbedaan yang disebabkan karena masalah sumber naskah salinan acuan yang dipakai berbeda. KS-ILT & KJV bersumber dari Naskah Salinan MT (untuk PL) dan TR=Textus Receptus (untuk PB), sedangkan Alkitab LAI & NIV bersumber dan banyak dipengaruhi naskah PB Critical Text=CT, meski LAI juga kadang-kadang mengacu pada Naskah TR. Semua ayat yg diberi Kurung Siku […] dalam Alkitab LAI, tidak perlu kurung siku dalam KS-ILT karena memang ayat2 itu ada di Naskah TR (untuk PB Yunani). Jadi LAI tidak 100% menggunakan naskah acuan CT (untuk PB Yunani) meski sebagian besar dipengaruhi CT. Jadi Terjemahan KS-ILT dalam banyak
